My name is Thomas Mundy and I’m a cadet at 381 (Reading) Squadron. I joined Reading Air Cadets in about June 2006 to get an experience of the RAF, and to see what the RAF has to offer.
I have participated in the Wing Challenge and I have also been on an activity week in Llanbedr, Wales. In the future I hope to see Badminton added as a sport within Cadets and I look forward to other camps that the ATC offers.

I started 381 (Reading) Sqn on the 21st June 2006 and got enrolled on the 30th October 2006. So far I have done things I’ve never dreamt of doing: I’ve been flying; gliding; passed my weapons handling test – so I’m now able to go onto a range and target shoot.
I have also done netball, 5 a side football, cross country, canoeing and broom balling with the cadets. I enjoyed these very much and I am looking forward to going camping and flying again.
I would recommend Air Cadets to anyone aged between 13-18 years old.

Most looking forward to in the ATC is the scholarships on offer. There’s flying and gliding and loads of other courses. Also, I can’t wait until I can go on the Parachute course; it sounds awesome!!

The ATC has lots to offer, and I plan to do as much as I can! Basically, I’m looking forward to anything the ATC throws at me!
